Buying a salvage vehicle is just the first step in order to own a functional vehicle. You need to fine tune the vehicle before hopping on to the driver’s seat. That is to say that the maintenance and repair issues should be accounted for after the final purchase is made. The salvage vehicle must be restored and made roadworthy.

Ideally, you should conduct an exhaustive check-up regarding the overall health of the vehicle before taking to the driver’s seat.

• First and foremost, always look for missing parts. Missing parts such as gauges, side covers, brakes, carbs and others should be fitted without any delay. Also, broken parts should be duly accounted for and replaced without any failure.
